Writing Research Paper Introduction
People do judge book from its cover and readers do judge research paper from introduction. Introduction is the representation of the entire contents of our paper. Therefore, readers often make the introduction as the guide to understand the content of the research paper. Some readers are making introduction to make a decision whether they want to continue reading or not and whether the content looks interesting for them or not. Therefore, we should never ignore introduction quality for our paper, including our research paper. Here are some guides that we can apply if we want to compose a paper introduction.
First, we should collect maximal five topic resources. Don’t choose too many because it will only confuse us and make us unable to focus on the research papers introduction. When we are choosing topic resources through the internet, make sure to choose one from reputable sites. It is highly recommended to choose sources from websites that end with .edu, .gov, or ,org. Make sure to avoid websites that look so generic. We have to remember that websites content can be written by any person. Not only that, the content can be an opinion and not based on any research, so make sure to be extra selective when choosing a source on the internet.
Second, make a list of arguments that will support our title. Write at least three arguments, but never write more than five supporting arguments. Third, adjust the length of the introduction with the type of paper body. If the body page will be so thick, then we can write 2-4 pages of introduction, but if the body page will be quite thin, one page of introduction is recommended. Fourth, even though we are only going to write several pages of introduction, but make sure to make an outline, so we can compose a systematic introduction.

Before We Compose an Essay
If we are told to make an essay, then we cannot directly arrange our opinions into paragraph and claim it as an essay. Of course, description essay will have a different character with compare and contrast essay, so make sure to analyze which type of essay we want to compose and learn the essay characteristic first before we make any composing.
Another type of essay that we should pay attention to is criticism essay. On this essay type, we have to master the topic and able to give strong evidence. Essay is usually not as long as thesis or research paper and it has different format than other type of papers. Essay is having three major elements: introduction, supporting paragraph and summary paragraph. To make a good essay, we cannot directly write down the material or our opinion. We have to do a prewriting first to make a sketch of our essay, after we have foundations on the essay, then we can start to do the writing. After the writing is done, make sure to recheck and do some polishing. The most important thing on essay writing process is definitely prewriting. It is because prewriting is the foundation of the essay content. We will not be able to compose high quality and strong essay if we are unable to build good foundation.
